Burning Sage also known as smudging is an ancient spiritual ritual. Smudging is used to purify the body and aura, cleanse negative energy, protect your living space, generate clarity and promote healing.

Palo Santo, which means “holy wood” or “wood of the saints,” is a fallen wood from a sweet, fragrant tree that grows in South America. Palo Santo is traditionally used for relieving common colds, flu symptoms, stress, asthma, headaches, anxiety, depression, inflammation, emotional pain and more.
Both Sage and Palo Santo are considered important conduits for healing.

As a daily ritual, hold the candle and focus only on manifesting positive energy into you’re your life. Set an intention by writing it down on a piece of paper and placing it under the candle. NEVER LEAVE A CANDLE BURNING UNATTENDED.
Lavender: A soothing and relaxing scent, lavender promotes calm and has the ability to relieve anxiety, depression, and stress. It is used also to treat headaches and insomnia.
As a reminder, always follow these Candle Safety Instructions.
- Never leave a burning candle unattended.
- Burn candle on an appropriate flat heat-resistant surface away from drafts, wind and open windows.
- Keep away from children, pets and flammable materials.
- Do not use water to extinguish a candle as it can cause excess heat which may cause the container to explode.
- Always ensure that wicks are upright and trimmed to 7mm (1/4 inch) before you light each time.
- Never move a burning candle or hot wax. Wait for the candle to completely cool before moving.
- Do not use lid to extinguish candle. Candle tins may become hot, do not handle until they have cooled completely.
- Never burn a candle all the way down to the end of the wick. Extinguish the flame when it is 1 inch close to the bottom of its container.
Amethyst Crystals have energy healing powers to help with physical ailments, emotional issues. Amethyst activates spiritual awareness, opens intuition and enhances psychic abilities. This healing crystal relieves stress and strain, soothes irritability, balances mood swings, dispels anger, fear and anxiety, alleviates sadness and grief, and dissolves negativity.
Directions for Smudging:
Burn a candle and set an intention. Before you ignite the Sage or Palo Santo, hold it in your hand and close your eyes. Picture your intentions in your mind and repeat your thoughts and wishes out loud or to yourself.
Light the sage using the candle. Blow it out so the embers are glowing. With both hands, bring the smoke into your heart, over your head and down the front and back body to cleanse yourself.
Keeping your intentions in mind begin to cleanse your home by starting at the front door. Then, begin to move around the home. Move mindfully and with care, walking clockwise around the entire perimeter of the home. Be sure to allow the smoke to drift into the hidden spaces, like inside closets, underneath furniture, basements and dark corners.
Some people prefer to do this with doors and windows open, so that the energy has a way to be released.
When you are done smudging, always place your stick in the marble bowl.
